Bare feet softly sweep the carpet
seeking safe passage
through this minefield of sharpened playthings.
Thanks for six great years!

In July I wrote a serial for the S4C. Installments were published every Tuesday and Friday (roughly), and each entry had to be 500 words or less. The synopsis:
Captain Novak and his crew die every day from a recurring disaster that they are unable to prevent. Can Novak ever unravel the mystery of their predicament?
First off, I'm so glad you are doing NaPoWriMo. Second, I think this first entry is great. I first read it as though it was you protecting one of your boys from disaster. On my second read through, I saw you fumbling around in the dark. I love poetry that can be read two ways.
ReplyDeleteThanks Vinnie! I think this is going to be a fun month.
ReplyDeleteThat's why I wear shoes inside! You just never know what kind of sharp object or sticky or wet thing your feet might encounter!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a house full of legos
